B2B cold email templates that start conversations
Cold emails that get replies are short, specific to the recipient, and ask for something small. Lead with a relevant observation, show you understand their situation, and end with an easy question — not a meeting request. Follow up two or three times, then stop.
Tips before you send
- Keep the first email under about 100 words.
- Make the first line about them, not you.
- Ask an easy yes/no question instead of asking for a meeting.
- Send from a separate, warmed-up domain to protect your main email.
- Stop after a breakup email if there’s no reply.
